Blue Beast

This was a "barn find" that a buddy of mine got running for me.

It's a 2004 Yamaha FZ1.

At first, I was so intimidated by this machine. I was calling it the Blue Beast.

Up until this motorcycle, the biggest I'd ridden was a R3. A fun peppy bike but nothing compared to this 4 cylinder pull your elbows out of your sockets monster.

We got it running. And I listed it for sale. At a "my wife is making me sell it" kind of price. My idea.

Besides a trade offer for a Jetta, no one understandable showed interest. So I guess I better ride this thing.

But only to keep the carbs from gummy up. Of course.

3 months later. The listing is down. My other bike has been sold.

And I couldn't be happier with keeping this motorcycle.
